SOUTHERN FRONT: DEATH TO THE INVADERS!
BATTLE BULLETIN
HQ GIVATI BRIGADE
SAMSON’S FOXES
...at zero hours thirty a company of our infantry, supported by the motorized commando unit, began the attack on enemy units which had taken new positions in the Negba-Julis-Hill 113 triangle. The attack lasted the whole night. The firepower of our units smashed gaps in the enemy lines, destroyed the concentrated units, and the enemy fled in an unprecedented state of panic. The enemy left behind more than ten PIATs, two heavy machine guns, four halftrack vehicles, and much other material.
During the attack our units encountered heavy enemy fire - they were facing a whole Egyptian battalion. The enemy was defeated in tough man-to-man fighting, and "Samson’s Foxes" (the brigade’s motorized commando unit) spearheaded the advance. Suddenly they found themselves traveling over soft ground. Bodies! Nothing but bodies under their wheels.
The driver stopped: people under his wheels! He only hesitated for a moment. He remembered Negba and Beit Daras. Then he drove on...

Onward drive!
In gratitude and respect for this action, the motorized unitwill henceforth be known as "Samson’s Foxes. "
